Clayton Iii, DDS

A native of coastal Wilmington, North Carolina, Dr. Smith received his degree in dentistry from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He immediately joined the practice his father, Dr. Clayton B. Smith, Jr. started in 1966.

Since taking over the practice, Dr. Smith has worked to continue his father’s reputation for gentleness, generosity, and good humor.

Dr. Smith is forever the student, seeking out the latest technologies and treatment options for his patients. He has pursued advanced education in endodontics, oral surgery, bone grafting, cosmetic dentistry, implant placement, and restoration, occlusion and TMJ, and most recently oral appliance therapy for bruxism.
