Dr. Mahmoud is a highly promising, committed young physician. While still in training, she has already selected an area of strong interest in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, an area that requires specific skills and sensitivities—both of which she is developing well and in abundance. She is in fact, very sensitive to and has emerging insights into the psychodynamics of adolescence that already serve her well in her efforts to help troubled adolescents changes their patterns of adaptation and problem-solving strategies in a constructive direction. She seems able to gain their trust and to get them to work with her toward a positive outcome. Dr Mahmoud is committed, energetic, and from what I have seen of her work to date, promises to be an asset to our field.
