John Calamia, DMD

I was both a student of John’s as well as an instructor for his program. There is no one with more patients, understanding and passion for teaching than John. He supports students with encouragement to get the very best from them. He is a great mentor to students and invaluable at NYU.

John is an excellent clinician. In addition, he is very knowledgeable in a wide variety of restorative techniques with an emphasis on esthetics. He is also an excellent teacher imparting his vast experience to hundreds of students over his time at NYU. In addition to the techniques, he also demonstrates a great rapport with both students and patents. His colleagues also find him a pleasure to work with. I had the privilege of working with him in clinic and as co-editors of Dental clinics of North America. L look forward to many more years with John.

Dr. Calamia is a wonderful faculty at NYU. He has given us the foundation on Cosmetic dentistry and I will forever be grateful for that. As a person he is modest, humble , always there for you with a big smile on his face. I have seen him give is 100% for education over the past 3 years that I knew him and we as students at NYU acknowledge that from the bottom of our hearts.

John is legendary in his contributions to cosmetic dentistry and teaching it to others. His humbleness and attention to detail have been a huge contribution to our efforts at the AACD. His students and fellow faculty are very lucky to work with such a talented person.
