Kevin Kempers, DDS, MD

Dr. Kevin G. Kempers has called Boise home since 1999, after he completed his six-year oral surgery residency and medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

He grew up in western Colorado and graduated with a biology degree from Colorado College in 1988. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and obtained a four-year dental degree. Following his dental school training he completed a year of hospital-based dentistry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia.

He joined Boise Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery group and practiced with Dr. Bruce Morrison from 1999 until 2010. Drs. Kempers & Nelson combined their practices and formed Whitewater Oral Surgery Group in 2014 and began practicing together in the new location in January 2015.

Dr. Kempers is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He was selected to serve a 5-year term as a member of the prestigious ABOMS examination committee in 2014. He is the past-President of the Idaho State Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, 2003-2004, and the Southwest Idaho Dental Society, 2004-2005. He currently serves as a member of the ad-hoc Committee on Anesthesia at the Idaho State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Kempers was recently inducted into the selective group of International College of Dentists.

Kevin enjoys spending time with his family. He married his wife Chris in 1994, and they have three boys. They enjoy alpine skiing, biking, backpacking, traveling and attending the boys’ school and sporting events.
