I have known Karen ,professionally and personally, for more than 30 years. We first worked together as part of a building support team for a school district on Long Island. We continued to work together as part of a consulting team for individuals who were professional voice users. In addition, we have shared private practice patients over the years. I have always found Karen’s skills in speech and language interventions, voice therapy and signing training to be based upon the most current research and the most ethical professional practices. When I have patients who are experiencing speech, language or voice problems I will only refer them to Karen.

Karen helped me recover my speaking voice from a very serious complication of throat surgery. She helped me recover from having a paralyzed vocal cord. With her help I was able to fully recover and speak normally. Eventually I started taking singing lessons with her as well. Karen was always knowledgeable, caring and professional.
